T-Square Design Associates

大阪狭山市内にある築21年を超えた積水ハウスによる平屋1戸建て住宅の内装の全面リノベーションである。家族構成は4人で、元の間取りは、それなりの壁量によって囲われた比較的閉鎖的な空間であったが、クライアントへのヒアリングの結果、それぞれの個室は無くし、家全体を大きなワンルームとして、その中に個々のスペースを設けることにした。水廻り以外は、壁は全くなく、家族の視線や音、自然風や臭いといった生活にまつわるありとあらゆる要素を遮らないため、家族の個々がそれぞれの気配を感じることが出来る空間となっている。また、軽量鉄骨の骨組みが軽快だったので、それらの一部をそのまま表した仕上げにすることで、元の建物（構造）を意識するのと同時に空間全体に軽快感を与えている。

This is a complete interior renovation of a single-story house built over 21 years ago in Osaka sayama City, by Sekisui House. The original layout was a relatively closed space surrounded by a fair amount of walls, but after consulting with the client, we decided to eliminate the so-called private rooms and make the entire house a large one-room space, with each necessary space divided only by movable furniture. Furthermore, a pyramid-shaped ceiling is installed at the center of the one-room space, giving it a vertical contrast within the large space, and other necessary spaces are adjacent to it. The purpose of these space placement is to simplify the flow of traffic and clarify the relationship between each space and the pyramid, like the Chinese Yaodong. In addition, because of the original existing lightweight steel framework, we tried to give a sense of lightness to the entire space by leaving some of it as it is, while being conscious of the original building (structure).
